PRO-AM INFORMATION

There are (2) Pro-Am Team Formats that will be played in 2008.

2-Man Team Format consist of (1) Pro and (1) Amateur

4-Man Team format consist of (1) Pro and (3) Amateurs

2-MAN TEAM FORMAT:

(1) Pro + (1) Amateur = Pro-Am Team

(2) Pro-AM Teams will play together.

Pros will be playing metal stroke play for both days and will be competing for the Pro's Championship Purse. Pros will also be eligible for 25% of the Pro-AM prize money won with their Pro-AM Partner.

Amateurs will be given 100% of their handicap limited to 36 strokes. All handicaps must a verifiable be USGA, CGA, or other recognized handicap organization.

Pros 18-49 years of age will play from the Championship Tee Spot.

Pros 50 years and older may play from the adjusted BLUE Tee Spot.

bullet

(Seniors also have the option to play from the Championship Tee Spot but must remain on the same tees that they start on for the entire round.)

Amateurs (0-9) will play from the same tee as the Senior Professionals.

Amateurs (10-19) will play from an adjusted tee spot in front of the Senior Professionals.

bullet

Amateurs (20+) will play from the Forward Tees.

 

Pro-AM Scoring: After score cards are exchanged within the pairings, the Pro in each pairing will be responsible for recording all scores. The Amateur's score card will reflect the Amateurs handicap and the hole he is to receive strokes based on the handicap of the hole. The Pro-Am Team Score will be kept on this scorecard as well.

Amateurs will be limited to a maximum score of triple boggy on any given hole. Pros will play their ball thru the completion of the hole.

PRO-AM RULES:

Anti-Sandbag Rule: The Amateur's handicap will remain the same both days provided the Amateur does not shoot a score that is better than the posted Graduated Handicap Index.

Round #1: Amateurs scoring better than the posted Handicap Index limit will be adjusted to an appropriate score and the player's handicap will be readjusted for round #2. Any amateur who's handicap requires adjusting after Round #2 will face disqualification if his score on day #2 is better than his Graduated Handicap Index.

Gross Score: This is the actual score that a players make on a given hole which includes all strokes and penalties.

Net Score: This is the adjusted score also referred to as the players handicap score. This score is the Gross Score minus the players given handicap.

Graduated Handicap Index: A floating handicap index that regulates the number of shots a player may improve during any given round.

 

4-MAN TEAM FORMAT:

(1) Pro + (3) Amateurs = Pro-Am Team

Pro-AM Scoring: Amateurs will receive a Modified Handicap. Amateurs will play a Super Ball Scramble format while the Pro will play his own ball. Scoring will be the best score between the Pro's score and the Amateur's Super Ball Score.

Amateurs will be limited to a maximum score of triple boggy on any given hole. Pros will play their ball thru the completion of the hole.
