PARRISH CONTINUES TO DOMINATE!!

Tony Parrish of N. Myrtle Beach held off Rocky Rockett for the
second event in a row to make this event his 3rd consecutive win and 4
out of 5. Starting the day tied with Scott Medlin of Hamlet, NC and a 1
shot advantage over Rocky Rockett, Parrish played steady golf in windy
conditions to take the championship by a single stroke over Rockett and
completed the event with a -4 under
140.
Parrish receives the champion's check of $1500 and
continues to mount up points and money for the season ending Bonus Pool.

Rocky Rockett of Gastonia, NC continues to play
well enough to make the top two but just can't overcome Parrish. For the
second event in a row, Rockett plays the bridesmaid to Tony Parrish as
Parrish continues his dominance on the GSGT. Rockett's
-3 under total was good enough to
overtake Scott Medlin to finish in 2nd place alone. Rockett received the
2nd place check of $900
Scott Medlin of Hamlet, NC and Michael Swiger
of Raleigh, NC both playing in their first GSGT event of 2008 tie for
3rd place. Medlin was was tied for the lead after round #1. Playing in
the final group with Parrish, Scott could not make enough birdies to
keep pace. A couple untimely bogies dropped Scott into a tie with
Michael Swiger who was staging a solid -3
under comeback. Both Medlin and Swiger completed the event at -1 under
143. Both players finish tied for 3rd place and each receive a check for
$500
Justin Walters of Raleigh, NC fired a final round
-3 under 69
to move into 5th place money alone. Justin receives $300 for his
5th place finish.
Bruce Helbig of New Liskeard, Canada complete the event
with a two day total 147 which was good enough to take 6th place money
of $200.
Matthew McIntyre of Garland, NC and Craig
Morrow of Blythewood, SC tied for the final money spot and split
last place money of $170. Each player receives $85.
