May 18, 2010:
After Mondays rain out the GSGT started the event on time on Tuesday with the event being shortened to a 1-Day event.
After 2 inches of rain fall Monday afternoon, the course dries up quite well.. Players were still allowed to play the
fairways with the ball "In-Hand". With the course playing every inch of 7100 yards, scoring was quite good across the board with 4 players
under par and a scoring average of 75 for the field.
At the end of the day, it was Zack Byrd (who's name we have been spelling wrong for a year) came out as the shining star with
34 on the front and 32 on the back for a -6 under par 66. Zack recorded 6 par, 3 bogies and 9 birdies in route to 3rd win in 2010.
THE GSGT CONGRATULATES ZACK ON ANOTHER FANTASTIC WIN
In 2nd Place, Tony Parrish started his day with 7 straight pars before recording his only bogie on the 172 yard 8th.
Making the turn with a 1 over37, Parrish knew he was going to need to right the ship on the back. With 6 pars and 3 birdies and a -3
under 33 on the final 9 holes Parrish was the early leader in the clubhouse.
In close pursuit finishing tied for 3rd was Jason Perry who played in with Parrish and Rocky Catalano who played with Byrd.
Brandon Roach finished at even par to take sole possession of 4th while George Carroll and Eddie Heiner finish tied for the 5th and
final payout spot with both firing +1 over 73
